From the first moment Scott came to quote for the job we were impressed by his friendly and professional attitude. We moved into our new house eight years ago. It sits at the ‘public’ end of a private drive shared by other dwellings. After repeated incidences of damage caused to our property / plants caused by other’s vehicles mauvering badly I had CCTV installed. I had no previous experience of this technology at that time. Over the years I realised that my original installation was at the lower end of what was available on the market, combined with no guarantees, no training, and a hefty financial outlay. I reluctantly sought a replacement elsewhere. I am retired, and felt foolish that I could have been taken in by the company, and at an advancing age one felt exposed to re-enter into a similar venture.

On the second occasion I obtained through Hikvision, names of installers local to my house. (Surprise surprise, my last installer’s name was not on the list).

Scott Abbott, of Abbotrack Security Solutions, along with his son Jamie, attended to carry out a primary survey of the property. Both were polite, courteous, by no means pushy, and most importantly – totally ‘up front’ – unreserved, forthcoming. Already this was a total metamorphosis for me! A further attendance to firm up a pre-survey was arranged, and consequently an installation date arranged after I had received and studied a comprehensive quotation for the job. (Kit specification, hands on training right through to optional maintenance options).

The fitting took the best part of a working day. The same courtesy was shown to my wife and I, and respect for our household – after all, fitting equipment such as this requires fitters to be around the property like spiders.. The culmination was a thorough description of the kit as fitted, all wiring hidden within the walls, and hands on training on both keyboard and Hikvision app.

After all this, I was as you may have guessed, tired, but extremely happy knowing that his staff are there to run through any questions I may have to reiterate that I had not quite taken in on the day, or new questions that develop with my learning curve. The quality of picture day and night is out of this world – each camera installed, and tweaked to satisfy both my needs in association with and more importantly Scott’s advice on cam direction to get the optimum results.

The saying “you get what you pay for” could not be more true. It ‘was not the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive’. The whole adventure for me was top notch, well worth the outlay. What price do you put on peace of mind?
